Enter a valid iNFiNiT! Family directory in the iNFiNiT!/
MAX!>/MAXINE! DIR:
field (e.g. C/INFINIT, or one of
your user directories).
• For a list of available iNFiNiT! directories, first press
CNTL L or select List.
Be sure the destination drive is SCRIBE-formatted. On
the iNFiNiT!, the keyboard floppy is always
A, and the
internal hard disk defaults as
C. The destination drive can
be the keyboard floppy, or another external storage
device such as an IOMega cartridge.
To translate all files, leave the
FILE TYPE: field at ALL.
Or, specify a type such as
MESSAGE, MACHINE, etc. If
you know exact file names, message ID numbers, or font
ID numbers, enter them into the
FILE NAMES: field.
Otherwise, leave the wild card asterisk (
*) in the field to
translate every file of this type.
To start the translation:
• Press
CNTL X or select Execute. If an error occurs
during the translation, the item is skipped and the
next file (if more than one is on the translation list) is
processed.
When conversion is complete:
• Press
CNTL Q or select Quit.to return to the Disk
Utilities main menu.

To display the SCRIBE to iNFiNiT!/MAX!>/MAXINE!
window (Figure 19-26):
• Press
S or select SCRIBE to INFINIT/MAX/MAXINE.
