Several restrictions apply to characters created using
Flash Font, and/or messages containing Flash Font char-
acters. Note that these restrictions do not apply if the
Flash Font characters are converted into a Machine Font.
• Flash Font characters cannot be used in Clock or
Timer displays (Section 11).
• Messages containing Flash Font characters are
recorded the same as any message. However, the
font data is stored with the text, and a separate font
file is not created.
• Messages containing Flash Font characters take
longer to read than messages using pre-loaded
Machine Fonts.
• The Underline function cannot be used in Flash Font
Typing mode.

Advanced On-Line Convert provides many of the same
functions as the Advanced Font Create Utility (Section
18), including character rotations, edge effects, and
optional 3D manipulation. This feature enables you to
rapidly convert a character, a word, a row, or an entire
font with these characteristics, without leaving Message
Compose.
