Tabs are row-based. Several tab fields can be created in
each row, and up to 200 fields can exist in each frame
buffer simultaneously, numbered in order of their cre-
ation. The color and font of characters within each tab
field can be defined, allowing you to simply tab into a
field and start typing.
• Tab fields can only exist within the Safe Title Box
(§7.3.1).
• Text cannot be kerned or shifted into or out of Tab
fields, unless in Unlocked Mode (§6.4.1).
NOTE
If TAB is pressed, and no tabs are set
on the screen, the cursor jumps to the
first character of each successive
word on the existing rows of text.
To open Tab Setup Utility window (Figure 7-3):
• Press
SETUP or CNTL, then TAB.
