[ ] 4. If necessary, highlight the SCSI ID: field, then
press the
SPACE BAR
or click on the field to
toggle from
SCSI ID to SCSI Express ID. This
step is necessary to avoid confusion, since
SCSI Express uses a separate SCSI bus (path,
channel. interface).
[ ] 5. Enter the drive number of the SCSI Express
drive in the
SCSI Express ID: field. The LUN
NUMBER
should always be 0.
[ ] 6. Press
CNTL A. The system displays the
following:
MOUNTING DRIVE - PLEASE WAIT
After the system has mounted the drive, a new
entry appears in the drive configuration list.
[ ] 7.
IMPORTANT!!! Reboot the system. This is
required to achieve the maximum transfer rate
between the SCSI Express drive(s) and the
Frame Buffer hardware.
All other Disk Utilities functions are available
for SCSI Express use.

A SCSI Express drive can be accessed by both the
IMAGESTOR! Option and the IMAGESTOR! Recall
Keyboard. It is not necessary that a SCSI Express drive
be specified as the default Still directory.
[ ] 1. From the Message Compose main menu, press
the
IMAGESTOR! key twice to display the
IMAGESTOR! main menu.
[ ] 2. Press
CNTL C or select Configure to display
the Configure Menu (Figure 23-2).
