Underlining is a separate operation from character entry.
An underline can be added with or without existing text
above it.
NOTE
Flash Fonts cannot be underlined.
To enter Underline Mode:
• Press
CNTL. Then, while holding down the SHIFT
key, press the
HYPHEN/UNDERLINE key (located to
the right of the zero key).
Underline Mode - press Q to exit appears on the Prompt
Line. All text kerning and adjustments to an underline
are made while in Underline Mode.
To draw an underline:
• Press a
Font Key 1 - 8 or ALT Font Key 1 - 8 (for
Fonts 9 - 16), then a
Color Key. While holding down
the
SHIFT key, press the HYPHEN/UNDERLINE key
(next to the zero key) as many times as need be to
draw the underline.
NOTE
The underline under each character
or space is also a character which
has its own cursor position. When
using the following functions, be sure
that the cursor is on the underline
character, or the functions will not
work. Char: _ in the Status Area on
the Prompts Monitor indicates that
the cursor is on an underline
character.
