iNFiNiT! Family Operation Manual
Revision D 2-29 Installation
The following adjustment does not affect the sync portion of
the key signal.
The sync portion of the key output can be adjusted
+/- 100 nanoseconds in 37 nanosecond increments.
Setting the switch to the ‘0’ position will remove
sync from the key output.
Channel 1 adjustment is S5.
Channel 2 adjustment is S4.

The Channel 1 sync output and the composite sync output are
both derived from Channel 1’s video timing. The Channel 2
sync output is derived from Channel 2’s video timing. Other
than composite video sync timing, neither of these outputs is
individually adjustable.
The composite sync output signal can be adjusted +/- 100
nanoseconds. Setting the switch position to ‘0’ will remove
sync from the composite video output.
Channel 1 sync adjustment is S14
Channel 2 sync adjustment is S11.
This switch is usually used to adjust the timing of sync relative
to the component video outputs for systems that require a sepa-
rate sync signal with the GBR or YUV data. Adjusting this
switch will also alter the timing of the sync portion of the com-
posite video output for that channel.
No provision is made in support of non-composite video output,
i.e. removal of sync from the video output signal. Removal of
sync from the video output signal may be achieved by setting
the video adjustment control, but the removal of sync will
extend to every output associated with that channel (including
the Color Edit output and the component video outputs).
If support for a non-composite video output is required, the
Encoder II board can be modified to removed sync from the
video output and Color Edit outputs, maintaining the sync out-
puts and the sync on the Y/G output.
For Channel 1, remove R385.
For Channel 2, remove R316.
