This function allows you to renumber a tab field. If the
Move Tabs By Position: field in Directory Defaults
(§8.2.2.4) is set to N, when you use the
TAB key to move
through the fields, it moves through in numerical order
instead of by position.
This function is also of value to Intelligence Interface
Users.
To change a tab field number:
[ ] 1. Press
O for the prompt ENTER NEW FIELD
NUMBER AND PRESS RETURN

[ ] 2. Press
CLR; enter a value from 0 to 199 using
the Address Keypad, then press

.
If a number out of range is entered, the system automati-
cally gives the tab field number
199.
NOTE
It is possible to give different tab
fields the same number. Intelligent
Interface users especially must be
careful not to unintentionally
duplicate field numbers. If you delete
a field, the numbering of other fields
does NOT automatically shift to fill
the gap.
