Multiple Effects 17-40 Revision D
To execute additional Read Effects operations
using messages with non-consecutive ID
numbers, repeat the procedure from Step 1 for
each message to be displayed.
You can change the
Type (Effect Type) or Effect (Transi-
tion Pattern by placing the cursor on the respective fields
and then changing them before executing the Read
Effect.
You can also execute effects in more than one buffer or
in
Mix simultaneously. All activated buffers advance
their message ID numbers and their effects execute to
these messages when the
READ NEXT key is pressed.
Be certain to deactivate any buffer that contains an image
that you do not want to change!
Additionally, remember that if
Mix
has been activated,
whatever has been Faded in will Fade out, and vice versa
when
READ NEXT
is executed.

There is a delay of a few seconds between the time the
execute command is entered (
CNTL X) and the time the
effect executes, depending on the complexity of the Mul-
tiple Effects.
Instantaneous execution is possible by reading (loading)
a prerecorded Multiple Effects message before you need
to execute it, then executing a pre-programmed Function
Key which can trigger the effect. See §17.12 for infor-
mation on recording Multiple Effects messages. Any
Function Key can be programmed for this purpose.
NOTE
If including a Cel Animation in a
Multiple Effects Function Key, be sure
to read the Multiple Effects message
first, then the Cel Animation message.
You can then program the Trigger fx
command for each message.
