To record the Crawl Control Buffer List:
• Enter an empty address on the Address Keypad,
then press
CNTL RCD CRAWL.

Before executing a Crawl, the system checks the validity
of the Crawl Control Buffer List entries. When the check
is complete, the system can then execute the Crawl. The
Crawl cannot begin until all errors in the list are cor-
rected.
NOTE
A Soft Mask (§16.12) can be used in
conjunction with a Crawl only on
iNFiNiT! and two buffer MAX!>
systems. It is not available on the
MAXINE!
When executing a Crawl inside of a
Soft Mask, make sure that the cursor
is positioned inside of the Mask at the
time of execution.
A Hard Mask (§15.8.6), a feature of the
Extended Effects Frame Buffer, must
be cleared from the screen before
executing a Crawl.
Note that Soft Mask and Hard Mask
are NOT the same functions. Soft
Mask (§16.12) is accessed from the
Mix Control window (§16.3). Hard
Mask is accessed from the Read
Effects main menu (§15.8.1 and
§15.8.6).
To load the Crawl Control Buffer and display the Crawl
Execution window (Figure 9-12):
