Quit (Q): Exits the Flash Font Convert window, leaving
the system in Flash Font Typing mode (§13.7).

• Press CNTL or Q; or select Quit to exit the Flash Font
window. This leaves the system in Flash Font Typ-
ing mode.
NOTE
If the ESC key is used, the system
exits to the Message Compose main
menu. The screen appears as it did
before entering the Flash Font menu.
Any Machine Font that was selected before Flash Font
Typing mode was activated is temporarily replaced. The
Font in Use box (§6.4) displays the Flash Font icon, and
the
Font Info box (§6.4) contains a description of the
Flash Font.
In Flash Font Typing mode, each character is converted
and displayed as you type. Since each new character is
stored in memory, it is converted only once.
The character data is saved with the message when the
message is recorded. Therefore, frequently used charac-
ters should be converted to a Machine Font using Flash
Font Convert if message recall time is a concern.
• To select a different Machine Font, simply press a
Font Key.
• To reselect the Flash Font press
COLOR FONT after
positioning the cursor on a Flash Font character on
the screen.
• Press
CNTL CNVRT (FLASH) to change all of the
characters from the beginning of the row the cursor is
on to the end of the row.
