Push As the Push executes, the new image “pushes” the old
image off the screen. Both images move. Transition Pat-

Hide Covers, or “hides” the old image on screen with a new
image. The new image moves on screen to cover the old

screen to “reveal” the new image. Only the old image

The speed (duration), direction, and ease of the effects
can be changed. In addition, in selected Transition Pat-
terns, individual rows can be controlled.

Methods of data entry are described
for each of the following parameters.
Data that involves numbers, sliders,
or fields which contain arrows (Figure
15-3) can also be entered by pressing
SHIFT CHAR +
Î or Í to raise the
value or to toggle forward, or SHIFT
CHAR +
Ï or Ì to lower the value or
toggle backwards. The mouse can
also be used to “click and drag” a
slider, or to click on an arrow to
change the value in a field. The
amount that the value changes is set
by entering a value into the Address
Keypad. Each click increments the
value in the field by the value entered
in the Address Keypad.
