When a conversion is executed, all rows in the Font Con-
vert Setup window (§18.4) that contain at least informa-
tion specifying the Master Font ID number (§18.4.1), the
Machine Font ID number (§18.4.2) and the Font Size
(§18.4.3) are read for conversion.
To execute the conversion:
• Press
CNTL C.
The conversion proceeds in numerical order from Char-
acter ID number to Character ID number from the top
row down, through each Master Font in the list. The
entire list is converted.
Errors in the setup can prevent the conversion from exe-
cuting. For example, if a non-existent Character Place-
ment Table is specified, the conversion does not execute.
An error message indicates the problem.
When the conversion is complete,
CONVERSION COM-
PLETED WITH X ERRORS
appears on the Prompt Line,
where
X indicates the number of errors that occurred dur-
ing conversion. An error can occur when a non-existent
Character ID is entered in the Character Placement Table.
The Master Font still converts, but the character will be
missing (undefined).
To stop the conversion while it is executing:
• Press
ESC.
The conversion stops after the current character is com-
pleted. If a font conversion is interrupted, all Master
Font conversions that have been completed are saved.
The Master Font conversion that was interrupted is not
saved.
