About Fonts 4-4 Revision D
NOTE
Machine Fonts that do not have a
sample available (typically fonts that
do not contain a character in the
upper- or lower-case A position, or
graphic character objects) are
designated by “NA”. Flash Fonts,
which are fonts that have not yet been
converted into Machine Fonts, but
can be typed on the screen, are
designated by a lighting bolt.

Both Master and Machine Fonts have unique ID num-
bers. Master Fonts purchased from CHYRON have pre-
assigned numbers that you cannot change. Master Fonts
created from the optional Logo Compose program have
ID numbers that are assigned during the Logo Compose
process.
The font ID number ranges are as follows:
Master Fonts Master Font ID’s purchased from CHYRON may range
from 5000 to 9999. The ID numbers are pre-set by
CHYRON.
Logos Font ID's for Master Fonts created using Logo Compose
range from 1 - 4999, as assigned by the operator
.
Machine Machine Font ID’s are assigned by the operator during the
Fonts Font Create process, and may range between 1 and 9999.
The same ID number can apply to both a Master and
Machine Font; as a matter of fact, the system assigns the
Master Font ID number to the Machine Font if you don't
specify your own identifier.
Multiple directories allow for different Machine Fonts (in
different directories) to have the same ID numbers - just
as houses on different streets can still have the same
house number.
