Buffer and channel assignments can be set in Mix Set-
tings in either the Mix Effects (§16.7) or Multiple Effects
(§17.5) main menus. The Mix Effects main menu (§16.2)
can be accessed by pressing
MIX. The Multiple Effects
main menu (§17.2) can be accessed by pressing

Any buffer can be assigned to CHANNELS A and/or

buffer assigned to CHANNEL A, Roll (§9.2) a message
in the buffer assigned to CHANNEL A, then output the
mix of the two channels to the AIR CHANNEL. The
result displays a message rolled in a window.
Any buffer can be assigned to PREVIEW. The output of
PREVIEW is sent to a separate mixer which can also mix
in a scanline background that was created in PREVIEW
Background RAM. The Output Percentage level of
PREVIEW is always 100%. Mix and Multiple Effects
are not available in PREVIEW. The output of this mix is

Background Select function in Mix Effects (§16.11), can
