The two types of SYSTEM directories you’ll be con-
cerned with are the
PROGRAMS directory and the MAS-
TER
Font directory. There are other directories and files
within the
SYSTEM directory, but they are all for internal
system use
and should not be altered in any way!!!
The PROGRAMS directory contains Message Compose,
Font Create, Disk Utilities, Fonts by Wire, and all other
optional programs. Neither the program directory nor any
program directory files can be renamed.
The
MASTER Font directory contains the 20 Master
Fonts that were shipped with the system. Any Master
Fonts added to the system are also stored in the Master
Font Directory. Although the Master Fonts that are sup-
plied (on a floppy disk) with the system can be copied to
the Hard Disk, Master Fonts purchased from CHYRON
cannot be copied to both a floppy and a removable car-
tridge.
The MASTER directory cannot be renamed.
The remainder of this section describes the applications
available in Disk Utilities:
LIST, COPY, RENAME, DELETE,
DISK STATUS, FORMAT, VERIFY, FILE TRANS(lation),
CONFIGURE AND DEFRAGMENTATION

List allows you to see which files are stored in a particu-
lar directory, or which directories are stored on a particu-
lar disk.
To display the
LIST window (Figure 19-9):
• Press
L or select List.
