iNFiNiT! Family Operation Manual
Revision D 2-51 Installation
WiNFiNiT! software installation is performed on
the PC.
Refer to §2.14.7 of this document, or Sec-
tion 3 of the WiNFiNiT! Option Handbook (Pub.
No. 2A02024) for information.
Upgraded versions of Message Compose require
more memory than previous versions. Therefore,
slightly less font memory is available. Experi-
ment with loading Machine Fonts to make sure
that they can be accommodated by the new ver-
sion.
An iNFiNiT!/040 equipped with a Transcoder I will
not boot in Remote mode using version 9.00 or
later software. It will work only in Local mode.
To work in Remote mode, the system must be
upgraded to Transcoder II.
MAXINE! customers must check the ArcNet ID
DIP Switch on the CPU board before loading the
version 9.00 or later software, because there is a
possibility that the system may be forced into
Remote mode regardless of the software set-
tings. The normal default settings are 7 - OFF
(open), all else ON (closed). For details, see
§2.11, starting on page 2-43 of this document.
