CHYRON Corporation
Disk Utilities 19-36 Revision D
NOTE
Initializing a disk destroys all data on
that disk, so always keep current
backups of critical data. This way, if a
non-repairable fault develops in one
of the disks, you’ll still have a backup.
A prompt appears when verification is complete. If faults
were located and repaired, the disk should again be
usable. If verification doesn’t correct the fault, use the
Low-Level Format routing - if the disk still does not ver-
ify correctly, discard it.
To exit from the Verify mode, Press
CNTL Q or select
Quit
. To exit Disk Utilities, press MODE SLCT.

The File Trans function in the Disk Utilities main menu
allows you to convert messages, fonts and other material
from CHYRON SCRIBE format (includes SCRIBE,
SUPERSCRIBE, or SCRIBE Jr. systems) into iNFiNiT!
Family format. iNFiNiT! Family files can also be con-
verted for use on all SCRIBE systems.
The SCRIBE source or destination files must be on a
high density, 3-1/2" floppy disk.
The translation type is accessed from the TRANSLA-
TION window (Figure 19-24). To display the TRANS-
LATION window:
• From the Disk Utilities main menu, press
T or select
File Trans
.
