Revision D 16-13 Mix Effects
Mix settings are preserved for as long as you stay in Mes-
sage Compose. See §16.17 for information on saving Mix
settings to and recalling Mix settings from a directory.

The function icons enable you to assign buffers to Key,
Background, or Mask channels. You can also use them to
save and recall recorded Mix settings, and to exit the Mix
Effects main menu. To select an icon:
• Press
CNTL followed by the letter corresponding to
the function, or select using the mouse.
These functions are reflected in the Multiple Effects main
menu (§17.3) settings as well.
CNTL K:
Allows for CHANNEL A to be used
as a Key source and CHANNEL B to be used as
a Fill source. The result is combined into a
single output (§16.10).
CNTL B:
Allows you to assign PREVIEW as a
source of background for CHANNELS A and/or
B (§16.11).
CNTL M:
Superimposes a stationary mask, with
adjustable edge softness. The image inside the
Soft Mask comes from the buffer assigned to
CHANNEL A. The image outside the Soft Mask
comes from the buffer assigned to CHANNEL B.
Additionally, a single buffer Soft Mask is
available (§16.12).
CNTL S:
Allows you to save up
to 100 presets of Mix settings to
one message in a directory
(§16.17.1).
