To delete a recorded message:
[ ] 1. Press
CLR, then enter the selected message ID
number using the Address Keypad.
[ ] 2. Press
DEL MSG.
Deleting message appears on the Prompt Line.
No confirmation is given before deletion occurs, unless
the
Verify of File Delete default (§8.2.2.4) is set to Y.

While editing a message, you may need to periodically
read, edit and then rerecord. Normally you must choose
a new address each time you record. The
ALT RCD func-
tion allows you to overwrite the message that was read
(or recorded) last. The new message that is recorded
using
ALT RCD is a Full Page Message. Therefore, if
attempting to record any message that is not strictly text,
you must use selective recording (e.g.
ALT CNTL RCD X
or
CNTL RCD ALT X to record a Transform message).
See §8.5 for information on selective recording.
To replace the previously recorded message with the
message displayed on the Edit Monitor:
• Press
ALT RCD.
The displayed message overwrites the message whose ID
number is indicated in the
Last message read: field on
the Prompts Monitor. The address number displayed on
the keyboard LCD and the Address Readout does not
advance.
