CNTL K or select Key Enable; CNTL B
or select Bkg Select; or CNTL M or select Soft
Mask

MIX by pressing MIX, Q, CNTL Q or
select
Quit.
[ ] 7. Execute Roll or Crawl.

Special Roll can be executed in conjunction with Key
Enable
or Soft Mask if the system is equipped with at
least two Extended Effects Frame Buffers (EEFB’s).
Special Roll can be executed in conjunction with Bkg
Select
if the system is equipped with three standard
frame buffers or Extended Effects Frame Buffers.

Key Enable, Bkg Select, and/or Soft Mask can be used
in conjunction with each other.
For example:
[ ] 1. Read a graphic into the buffer assigned to
CHANNEL B.
[ ] 2. Read a Roll message into the buffer assigned to
CHANNEL A, and a graphic into the buffer
assigned to PREVIEW.
[ ] 3. Activate
Soft Mask and Bkg Select.
[ ] 4. Execute the Roll. The Roll (CHANNEL A)
executes over a graphic (CHANNEL B) inside
the Soft Mask. This in turn is surrounded by
the other graphic.
Experiment with combining these functions.
