If your system already has the Advanced Font Create
Utility Option you don’t need the Font Create Utility
option. If you desire, you can delete the Font Create Util-
ity option from your system.
NOTE
You can enter Font Create without
disturbing operations in Message
Compose. Press MODE SLCT, then S
(Suspend). This suspends Message
Compose operation without shutting
it down. Open the Font Create
program. When work is finished in
Font Create, press MODE SLCT, then
re-enter Message Compose where
you left off.

Flash Font is a method of quickly creating temporary or
on-line (RAM-based) Machine Fonts from within Mes-
sage Compose. Flash Font is described in Section 13.

The standard system contains three special effects appli-
cations:
Read Effects, Mix Effects and Multiple
Effects
. Other effects packages are available from CHY-
RON, and are described elsewhere in this manual and in
the accompanying Options manual.
