Machine Control allows an iNFiNiT! Family system to control
a Digital Disk Recorder (DDR) for playback in Multiple Effects
(Section 17) Multiple Effects and IMAGESTOR! applications.
Special hardware and software configuration as described
below must be performed to use this option. The Machine Con-
trol Option program (
/SYSTEM/PROGRAMS/DDR.OPT
) is
required for DDR support in both Message Compose and
IMAGESTOR!.

WARNING!
Serial Port 2 on the iNFiNiT! is dedicated
to the DDR, and
must
be reconfigured
from RS-232 to RS-422
before
the DDR is
connected. This involves changing a
jumper on the CPU Transition Board.
Failure to perform the reconfiguration can
result in equipment damage!
