These effects are set up and executed in the Read Effects
menu (
CNTL R) in Message Compose, and provide
effects that only involve one frame buffer.
Four Read Effect Types (Wipe, Push, Reveal, and Hide)
plus ten Transition Patterns are available in systems
equipped with standard frame buffers. The speed and
direction of all types are adjustable.
Additionally, Read Effects involving transitions between
Foreground and Background buffers (such as Dissolves)
are available in systems equipped with one or more
optional Extended Effects Frame buffers.

NOTE
Mix Effects are not available on
MAXINE! systems, nor on single
frame buffer MAX!> systems.
Mix Effects mode provides transitions between images
on two frame buffers. Use Mix Effects to generate Dual
Channel Wipes and Fades with adjustable speeds and
Transition Patterns.
