Text & Graphics messages may be recorded to and read
from one EEFB. The text is placed in Foreground buffer,
and the graphics are placed in the Background buffer.
Palettes, background, and Output Percentage levels are
also saved in each buffer, and are restored when the Text
& Graphics message is read.
To record to or read from a single EEFB, the Single
EEFB Text and Graphics Message function must be acti-
vated (§15.8.9.1).
This is in contrast to a Standard Text & Graphics read or
record (§8.5.15), where text is placed in one frame buffer
and graphics in a separate frame buffer. A Standard Text
& Graphics read or record is the only way Text & Graph-
ics messages can be read or recorded when using Stan-
dard frame buffers.
