The following erase operations, unless specified, affect
only the active frame buffer (§14.1). References to Tab
fields include position and attributes assigned to each Tab
field. See §7.4 for complete information on Tab fields.

To erase all text and Tab fields, but leave the scanline
background (§10.5), Safe Title Box (§7.3.1) and palettes
(Section 10) intact:
• Press
ERASE.

To erase text, scanline background and Tab fields:
• Press
ESC. Pressing ESC also erases the Foreground
and Background buffers of the active Extended
Effects Frame Buffer (EEFB) if the system is config-
ured with that option. See Section 14 for more infor-
mation on frame buffers, and §15.8 for information
on EEFB’s.

To erase the Background buffer of the current Extended
Effects or CLYPS Capable Frame Buffer:
• Press
CNTL ALT ERASE.
