An Effect Type governs how an old image leaves the
screen and the new image enters the screen. There are
two Effect Types:
Wipe and Fade. The default setting is
Wipe. To select an Effect Type:
Place the cursor over the desired Effect Type, then
press
or SPACE BAR, or select using the mouse.
Wipe As Wipe (§16.6.3) executes, the new image overwrites
the old image. Neither image moves. All Transition Pat-
terns
A - D are available to Wipe.
Fade A Fade (§16.6.1) is a full screen transition. An image in
one frame buffer is faded out as an image from another
frame buffer fades in.
