Revision D 3-51 Start-Up
When installing new software or loading Master Fonts,
you may need to check the Machine Subscript number
and/or the Site ID of the unit to make sure that you are
loading the software into the correct machine.
To display the Machine Subscript Number and the Site ID:
• Display the Message Compose main menu as
described below in §3.10, then press
CNTL 0.
The Machine Subscript Number and Site ID are dis-
played on the bottom line (Prompt Line) of the Message
Compose main menu.

The creation of fonts that are ready for air (“Machine
Fonts”) in the Font Compose function is somewhat
detailed. Therefore, v10.00 (and later) software provides
9 sample pages that can be easily loaded during installa-
tion and set-up, so that the unit can be readily tested by
the installer. To use your iNFiNiT!, MAX!> or MAX-
INE! to its fullest, see the Message Compose, Font Cre-
ate and Advanced Font Create sections of the Operation
Handbook.

NOTE
Remember that it is not necessary to
hold down the “CNTL” key while
pressing the second key of a key
combination.
[ ] 1. From the Program Loader menu, choose
Message Compose.
[ ] 2. Once in Message Compose, press the
CNTL
key followed by the D key, or click on the
Directory icon. This opens the “Change Menu
Directory” window; type “C/SAMPLES”.
