It is good practice to preview Crawls
of speed 2 or less, or Crawls of
fractional speed, as they may be
subject to jitter.

When a Crawl is executed, the first message following
the
Pause command crawls on screen to the Safe Title
Box position (which is normally the position at which it
had been recorded), then stops for the specified pause
duration. The Crawl then resumes.
Text from the message crawled immediately before the
Pause command may still be visible on screen when a
message is paused.
Pause is especially effective when
crawling multi-row messages.
To enter a
Pause command:
[ ] 1. Press
P.
[ ] 2. Enter a pause time, in fields, from
1 to 999,
then press
. A Pause duration of 0 allows for
a manual restart.
60 fields NTSC or PAL-M = 1 second
50 fields PAL = 1 second
To manually restart Crawl after a
Pause:
Press
SPACE BAR to resume at previous speed, or
enter a new integral speed on the Address Keypad.
The
Î or Ï keys can also be used to restart the
Crawl, but at 1/10th higher or 1/10th lower the speed
respectively that the Crawl was running.
To manually pause during Crawl execution:
Press
0.
