Flash Font is an on-line conversion feature that supports
instant changes to font size, italic angle, aspect ratio,
edge type, edge size, and edge direction and color. Once
these changes have been made, the characters are imme-
diately converted to the new font as they are typed in
Message Compose. You can also create a new Machine
Font while in the Flash Font menu.
Advanced On-Line Convert, a part of Flash Font, sup-
ports many of the features of the Advanced Font Create
Utility such as textures, Transparencies, rotations, and
other special effects. These effects can be applied to
selected characters, words or rows.
Multiple Flash Fonts: It is possible to have access to six
Flash Fonts at one time, making a total of 22 fonts avail-
able for use. See §13.8 for more information.
NOTE
Flash Font conversion makes use of a
key named either CNVRT or FLASH,
depending on the version of your
keyboard. This key is located to the
immediate right of the F1 key on the
system keyboard.
This section provides a Flash Font tutorial to get you
started using the feature. Complete instructions for creat-
ing and using Flash Fonts and Advanced On-Line Con-
vert appear after the Tutorial.
