A DDR clip can be played as part of a Multiple Effects
execution.
Note that if you enter a DDR message ID
number into the Mesg field, the Type field does not
automatically switch to DDR. You must still change
the Type field to DDR, or the effect will not execute
properly.
When a DDR message is read during the message load
segment of execution, the DDR clip is automatically
queued up. It is not necessary to queue the clip before-
hand.
For a DDR clip to be visible on the Edit Monitor, it must
be routed into the iNFiNiT! Family system via the Video
Input Module (VIM)

. Note that when using the VIM,
one frame buffer is dedicated to the incoming video.
Unless Key is used, the buffer containing the DDR video
may cover up other buffers. To avoid this, the video must
be properly routed to display behind the other buffers.
To route the DDR video to a buffer:
• Make the buffer active, then, from the Message Com-
pose main menu, press
CNTL I or select Video Input.
The DDR video now appears in this frame buffer.
To place the video behind the image(s) in the other
buffer(s), use the Mix Settings window in the Mix Con-
trol window(§16.7), or the Multiple Effects main menu
(§17.5) to assign the buffer containing the DDR video to
an output channel as follows:
• If using two buffers, assign the DDR buffer to
CHANNEL B or the PREVIEW CHANNEL. If
assigning the DDR display buffer to the PREVIEW
