For systems configured with Extended Effects Frame
Buffers (§15.8), a message can be read into the Back-
ground buffer of an EEFB, while displaying a Clock or
Timer in the Foreground buffer of the EEFB. This mes-
sage must be read either before entering Clock Setup, or
while in Clock Setup. A message cannot be read into the
Background buffer of the EEFB once Clock Setup has
been exited and the Clock or Timer is running. Use one
of the following methods to set up a Clock or Timer over
a message in an EEFB.
From the Message
Compose main menu
[ ] 1. Press CLR, then the ID number of the
message. Press
CNTL ALT READ
(§15.8.2).
[ ] 2. Enter Clock Setup. Set the Clock or Timer.
Press
B (Background) to exit Clock Setup
and start the Clock or Timer.
From the
Read Effects menu
[ ] 1. Make the EEFB Background buffer active
(§15.8.2)
[ ] 2. Press
CLR, then the ID number of the
message. Press
READ.
[ ] 3. Press
Q, CNTL Q, select Quit or press
ESC to exit the Read Effects main menu.
[ ] 4. Enter Clock Setup. Set the Clock or Timer.
Press
B (Background) to exit Clock Setup
and start the Clock or Timer.
