Two buffer Fades and Wipes can be executed using Mix
Effects. Transition Patterns are not available to
Fade.
Four Transition Patterns are available to
Wipe.

A Fade is a full screen transition. An image in one frame
buffer is faded out as an image from another frame buffer
fades in. Transition Patterns,
Ease and Reverse are not
available to
Fade.
When in the Mix Effects main menu and executing Mix
Effects, the Output Percentage levels (§16.5.5) must be
set at
100 for CHANNEL A and 0 for CHANNEL B, or
at
0 for CHANNEL A and 100 for CHANNEL B.
When setting Output Percentage levels for
Fade in the
Mix Settings window in the Multiple Effects main menu
(§17.5.2, §17.5), the Output Percentage levels can be set
to any value for either channel. Refer to §17.4.2.9 for
details on this type of
Fade
.

Transition Patterns govern how new text replaces old text
on screen when an Effect Type is executed. All Transi-
tion Patterns
A - D are available to Wipe. Transition Pat-
terns are not available to
Fade.

the Read Effects window, and are labeled
A - D. The
