Revision D 13-35 Flash Font
Font 17, even though they may have been produced by
different Flash Fonts. For example, if 150 different Flash
Font characters from one Flash Font have been typed, 37
are still available to be split among all six Flash Fonts.
A typed character is only counted on its first appearance
in that Flash Font - it only must be built once. For exam-
ple, the character
E can be typed 10 times using a particu-
lar Flash Font, but is only counted once. However, if the
character
E is typed again using a different Flash Font, it
is counted again.
• In the following example, three different Flash Fonts
are used, but eight different characters are typed,
leaving 179 available characters. For convenience,
the Flash Fonts in the example are numbered.
NC
specifies that the character is not counted because it
has already been typed.

A Tab Description message can specify a Flash Font in a
tab field. Before recording the Tab Description message,
leave one Flash Font character in the tab field. When the
message is read back, text typed in the field uses the
Flash Font.
