Revision D 6-29 Message Compose Basics
Displays Directory Defaults, which sets default
characteristics for individual Message
Directories (§8.2.2.4).
Displays the Clock Setup window for creating
Clock or Timer displays (Section 11).
Displays the Flash Control window for creating
flashing text in messages (§7.14).
Defines the default directory for any files
accessed by pressing the
SCSI Express key, or
by Multiple Effects or Function Key execution.
See §8.6 and §23.3.4 for complete details.
Allows the operator to choose between
4 X 3 and
16 X 9 aspect ratio. For complete details, please
see §6.9.
Exits from Setup to Message Compose main
menu. You can also exit the Setup menu by
pressing
CNTL, SET-UP or by clicking outside
the menu.

The 16 X 9 function allows the operator to choose
between
4 X 3 and 16 X 9 aspect ratio for image display
in Message Compose. Activating
16 X 9 does the follow-
ing:

Flash Font: Upon entry to Flash Font, Aspect is
automatically set to
.75. See Section 13 for informa-
tion on Flash Fonts, and §13.5.5 for information on
aspect ratio.
•
RGB Tools: The aspect ratio of the RGB Tools
Scale function is automatically set to .75. Note that
the Scale Control menu contains it's own
16 X 9 icon.
This allows for the quick scaling of RGB graphics
for 16 X 9, without the need to use the global one in
the Message Compose Setup.
