To display the current state of Preview:
• Press
CNTL ALT 1.
The current state of Preview is also displayed upon entry
into the Read Effects menu (
CNTL R).

Each time READ NEXT is pressed, the next available
message is displayed on Preview. When
READ NEXT is
pressed again, the image in Preview is transferred to AIR,
using the effect specified in the Read Effects menu.
Also, the next available message is displayed in Preview.
Read Effects always move from PREVIEW to AIR.

Any effects that use the Background buffer in order to
execute - for example, Special Rolls, Crawls, etc. will
execute properly in the Foreground buffer. However,
activity that is normally not visible in the Background
will show up on the Preview (Background) output during
execution.

If the user executes CNTL XFER to transfer the contents
of the buffer assigned to CHANNEL A to Preview
(Background buffer), the Video Input becomes available
for to Preview. However,
Video Mix in the Read Effects
menu only appears in AIR.
