A character or characters can be moved (kerned) left,
right, up or down.
[ ] 1. Place the cursor on the character to be shifted.
[ ] 2. Press and hold
SHIFT CHAR + ÌÍÎ or Ï.
In
Locked Mode, all characters to the right of the cursor
position also shift when pressing
SHIFT CHAR + ÌÍ.
In
Unlocked Mode, only the selected character shifts. In
Unlocked Mode, SHIFT CHAR doesn’t operate if the cur-
sor is over a blank space.
In
Locked Mode, characters cannot be shifted beyond a
Tab Starts and Ends. Once a Tab Start or End is encoun-
tered, shifting stops. In
Unlocked Mode, characters
CAN be shifted over Tab Starts and Ends.
Super Shift can be used with
SHIFT CHAR to make text
moves in larger increments (§7.8.6).

A row or rows of text can be moved (line leading) left,
right, up or down.
[ ] 1. Place the cursor on the row to be shifted.
[ ] 2. Press and hold
SHIFT ROW + ÌÍÎ or Ï.
Using
SHIFT ROW + ÌÍ, only the cursor-selected row
moves; no other row changes position. Rows can be
shifted over Tab Starts and Ends whether or not text is
Locked or Unlocked.
Using
SHIFT ROW ÎÏ in Locked Mode, all rows
below the cursor-selected row shift. In
Unlocked Mode,
just the cursor-selected row shifts.
