When a Crawl is executed, provides error check of mes-
sages and time computations of the nine Crawl speeds.
Whether or not the
Status command is entered, the
Crawl does not execute if there are errors in the Crawl
Control Buffer List.
The exception is when invalid messages are discovered.
The Crawl can still be executed, and the invalid message
ID’s are ignored. It is good practice to correct the errors
before executing the Crawl. Additionally, if the Crawl is
executed with
Status not entered, the Crawl proceeds,
and skips the invalid messages.
NOTE
Timed Crawl execution always
includes a Status check, making it
unnecessary to enter a Status
command.
To enter a Status command:
• Press
A.
Status Info automatically appears in Step 0 of the Crawl
Control Buffer List. Steps already entered move down
by one position.
When checking a long command list, Status can require a
few seconds to verify the list. For faster execution, do
NOT insert the Status command.

mands execute exactly as specified in the Crawl Control
