If displaying the Clock or Timer in
Background Mode, press
CNTL 8 while in the
Message Compose main menu to start or stop
the Clock or Timer (§11.2.2.1).

A Clock (Timer) message can be recorded from within
Clock Setup or the Message Compose main menu. All
Clock or Timer information is recorded, including posi-
tion, color, font, Clock type, placeholders, etc. A Clock or
Timer can also be recorded as part of a Full Page message.
First, set up the Clock or Timer as previously described,
then use one of the following methods to record the Clock
(Timer) message.

• A Clock or Timer cannot be overlapped on top of
another character in the same buffer.
• Messages containing Clocks or Timers cannot be
rolled (§9.2), crawled (§9.4), or used in Read Effects
(Section 15), Mix Effects (Section 16), or Slow
Reveal (§9.7) messages.
From within Clock Setup
•Press CLR, then an unoccupied ID num-
ber. Press
RCD.
From Message Compose
main menu
•Press CLR, then enter an unoccupied ID
number. Press
CNTL RCD C.
Record a Full Page mes-
sage from the Message
Compose main menu
[ ] 1. Create a Full Page Message.
[ ] 2. Set up a Clock or Timer, then exit to
Message Compose main menu.
[ ] 3. Press
CLR, then enter an unoccupied
ID number. Press
CNTL RCD L.
This saves the current text, palette, back-
ground, Tabs, and Clock/Timer information.
