EXT SCSI
The Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) is the I/O
port for the internal hard drive. A SCSI Terminator, or
external disk storage unit(s) attach to this connector.
If
no external drive units are connected, the sup-
plied SCSI terminator must be installed here for
proper hard disk operation!
GPI
General Purpose Interface. Allows you to use remote
switches to activate Function Keys
F1
through
F8

ETHERNET
Network connection for use with Network Utilities soft-
ware (optional).

VIDEO OUT 1
Composite video output, consists of MAXINE! text,
graphics, effects, and/or backgrounds. Does not include
Safe Title Box, cursor, or tab fields. (1.0v p-p)
COLOR EDIT
Same as VIDEO OUT 1, plus displays Safe Title Box,
cursor, and tab fields. (1.0v p-p)
PROMPTS
Displays icon based prompts, menus, commands and cur-
rent operating information such as mode, color and font
specifications. Connect this output to a monochrome
monitor. Only one prompt output is available on MAX-
INE! (Monochrome)
KEY OUT
Provides an analog (linear) key output. (1.0v p-p)
SYNC
If component output (RGB) is used, this jack supplies a
sync output. (4.0 v p-p NTSC; 2.0 v p-p PAL)
BLUE
If RGB/YUV equipped, this supplies the blue or U com-
ponent from the RGB/YUV board. (0.7v p-p)
GREEN
If RGB/YUV equipped, this supplies the green or Y com-
ponent, and sync (if desired), from the RGB/YUV board.
