[ ] 3. To rename a file, enter the directory containing
the file in the
CURRENT DIR: field along with
the drive letter (for example,
C/INFINIT). Place
the cursor in the
FILE TYPE: field.
[ ] 4. Press the
SPACE BAR to toggle through the
available file types.
[ ] 5. Press
CNTL L to enter the list o the file type.
Press
Ï to enter the list, then highlight the file
to rename. Press
to place the file or
directory name (or ID number, if applicable)
into the
OLD NAME: and/or DESCRIPTOR:
fields.
[ ] 6. Enter a new name or number and/or descriptor
in the appropriate fields.
[ ] 7. Press
CNTL X or select Execute to execute
RENAME.
To see the change, it is necessary to re-execute List by
pressing
CNTL L again or selecting List. To exit from the
RENAME window, press
Q or select Quit.

This function of Disk Utilities removes any type of file or
directory from a disk. Access it from the main Disk Utili-
ties menu as follows.
• Press
D or select Delete.
The DELETE window is displayed.(Figure 19-14).
