Advanced Read FX 15-34 Revision D

Using an EEFB, you may execute Dissolves from mes-
sage to message. When a
Dissolve is executed, the
Output Percentage level of a message that is in one of the
buffers, for example, the Foreground, rises from
0 to 100,
as the Output Percentage level of a message that is in the
other buffer (in this example, the Background), simulta-
neously falls from
100 to 0. What you see is one mes-
sage fading out as another simultaneously fades in.
To execute a
Dissolve:
[ ] 1. Set
Speed (§15.3.1) and Ease (§15.3.3).
Transition Patterns and the
Reverse: Off/On
field are not used for this Effect Type.
[ ] 2. Select
Dissolve in the Effect Type window,
then press
.
[ ] 3. Set one of the Output Percentage level sliders
(§15.8.3) to
0, and the other Output Percentage
level slider to
100. It does not matter which
buffer is active for
Dissolve to execute.
[ ] 4. If necessary, press
DO to clear the Read Next
buffer (§15.6.3). Note that this flips the Output
Percentage level settings. The buffer that was
set to
0 now set to 100; and the buffer that was
set to
100 now set to 0.
[ ] 5. Press
CLR, then enter the ID number of the
first message using the Address Keypad.
[ ] 6. Press
READ NEXT. This message is loaded
into the Read Next buffer.
XXXX read - Read
next buffer ready
appears on the Prompt Line,
where
XXXX designates the type of message
(e.g.
Full Page Message).
