A CMF animation or JPEG file can be executed from a
Function Key.
When in the Function Key List Keystroke column,
enter the CMF animation or JPEG file ID number,
then press
SCI Express READ.
When the Function Key is executed, the CMF or JPEG is
also read and executed. Note that if a second CMF or
JPEG is programmed into the Function Key, it will stop
execution of the first CMF or JPEG if sufficient time is
not given to allow the first CMF or JPEG to finish exe-
cuting. It may be advantageous to insert a
Wait com-
mand. See Section 12 of the iNFiNiT! Operation Manual
(Pub. No. 2A01976) for more information on Function
Keys.
Remember that the SCSI Express drive path must be set
up in Message Compose (
SET-UP E) so that the Function
Key knows where to find the CMF animation or JPEG
file when it encounters a
SCSI Express
keystroke in the
Function Key list. See §23.3.4 for details.
Note that when a CMF executes from a Function Key
List (but not as part of a Multiple Effects message), the
image remains on screen when execution is complete. If
necessary, an
ESC or ERASE command can be added to
the Function Key List to clear the frame buffer.
When a JPEG executes from a Function Key List (but not
as part of a Multiple Effects message), the image erases
from the screen when execution is complete.
