Revision D 11-7 Clock & Timer Displays
If Bckgrnd is selected, Clock Setup exits to the Message
Compose main menu, runs the Clock or Timer in the cur-
rent (active) buffer (§14.1), then sends the buffer into
Background mode. The cursor is placed in the next
available buffer, which becomes the current buffer.
When in Background Mode, the frame buffer in which
the Clock or Timer was created can only be used by the
Clock or Timer. The buffer cannot be used for any other
functions, such as typing or message reads. Additionally,
the buffer that contains the Clock or timer cannot be
accessed using the
CHNG function (§14.5 and §14.8).
However, the
XFER functions (§14.5, §14.9 and §14.10)
can be used to place the buffer containing the Clock or
Timer on top of or behind another buffers image.
