Revision D 10-21 Colors & Palettes
There is a background cursor on the Color Edit Monitor,
a single white scanline which is moved by the keypad
increment (default is 10) holding down the
SHIFT CHAR
key and pressing the cursor keys.
The Line display is the scanline the background cursor is
on. In addition to
Quit, the six icons in the Background
menu do the following:
 *UDGDWHG%DFNJURXQG

Two variations of the standard gradated function can be
specified after a start scanline and color have been
marked using the
M key. By pressing S after an ending
scanline and color have been selected, a smooth ramp is
generated that ensures a unique color for each scanline.
This effect has the benefit of reducing banding in the
background caused by duplicate colors on consecutive
scanlines. However, the displayed end color might devi-
ate slightly from the specified end color.
Gradate
Marks the end point of a gradation, to provide a gradual
transition effect between colors or shades
Mark Pos
Used when making gradated backgrounds; enters the cur-
rent scanline as the starting scanline.
Move Dsply
Moves the Background Palette from the bottom to the top of
the Edit Monitor.
Reset
Resets all HSI and RGB sliders to their default positions.
Cut
Used to copy a predefined number of background scanlines
into a Paste buffer, for placement using the
Paste icon.
Paste
After copying a portion of background into the Paste buffer,
the
Paste icon lays the portion down, beginning with the
current scanline the background cursor is on.
