Revision D 12-15 Function Keys
The overall sequence is activated when you press the
Function Key in which the other Function Key is embed-
ded. For example, if you programmed a total of 650 key-
strokes in Function Keys
F1 and F2, pressing F1 executes
the 500 steps in
F1. F2 is then accessed, and the remain-
ing 150 steps are executed.
You can string all ten Function Keys together, to the point
where a single list of up to 5,000 keystrokes can be trig-
gered by a single keystroke.

After you’ve created, edited, and stored the sequence
under the Function Key:
• Press
CNTL or Q to return to the Message Compose
main menu, then press the Function Key that you
programmed to start execution.
• To halt execution, press
ESC. The sequence stops as
soon as the current step finishes.

Use Single Step Mode to execute a Function Key list one
step at a time. Step-by-step execution can be helpful
when troubleshooting a Function Key sequence.
[ ] 1. Press
CNTL, then a Function Key, to enter the
Function Key list.
[ ] 2. Place the cursor in the
Step column, then press
S or select Single Step. The Message
Compose main menu is displayed.
