Advanced Playback 9-44 Revision D
the pauses and speed changes can be abrupt. Applying
Ease to Pause and Speed commands allows smoother
Pause and Speed transitions.
NOTE
Timed Crawls are accurate to within
1/60th second, even if Ease is
specified.
It is good practice to preview Crawls
to see how they look when executed.
To apply Ease to a Pause or Speed command:
• Cursor to the desired
Pause or Speed com-
mand step, then press
E.
To remove
Ease from a Pause or Speed command:
• Cursor to the
Pause or Speed command step that
contains the
Ease command (E), then press E.
NOTE
The Crawl Control message may
include any combination of
commands with or without Ease.
Ease
is also available during Crawl execution:
• While the Crawl is in progress, press
ALT, then
enter the new
Speed number using the Address
Keypad. This causes the speed change to occur
gradually.

The background and/or palette that are part of a crawled
message do not appear in a Crawl. To crawl over a back-
ground, the desired background must be displayed on
screen. Then, the Crawl can be executed over it.
