[ ] 3. Press C or select Capture. The incoming
video is recorded to the SCSI Express drive in
real time. The first frame that is recorded is
called the Start frame.
[ ] 4. Press any key or click on the menu to stop
Capture. The last frame that is recorded is
called the End frame. If Capture is not
stopped, it continues until the space allocated
in the Set Capture Limit window (Figure 23-7)
has been filled. The Capture then terminates
on its own. After the Capture is finished, the
Start frame is displayed on screen, and
Capture Complete - missed XX frames. is
displayed on the Prompt Line.
Rarely, CLYPS hardware is unable to
keep up when capturing extremely
complex video and/or key, resulting in
a frame(s) being dropped. When the
capture is complete, the number of
missed frames is reported on the
Prompt Line. The vast majority of the
time, the missed frame(s) is at a
scene cut, causing minimal
disruption to the capture.
Additionally, scene cuts from simple
to complex video can also cause
system malfunction during capture or
playback.
