Revision D 8-3 Directory Features
• Font Directories: Where Machine Fonts are stored
once converted from Master Fonts.

System Directory: Where the operating system
resides, along with CHYRON-supplied Master Fonts
(MASTER fonts), and the programs Message Com-
pose, Font Create, Fonts By Wire and Disk Utility.
Any additional software options also reside in this
directory.
Although System directories contain CHYRON assigned
file names, you can name Message or Font Directories
that you create.

The following default drive designations are used by
iNFiNiT!, MAX!> or MAXINE! systems.
A: Floppy Disk Drive
(Keyboard Floppy or MAXINE! system floppy)
B: Optional removable disk drive (Zip, Jaz, etc.)
C: Internal hard disk drive
W, X, Y, Z: Up to four SCSI Express drives
If other storage devices are added, they are generally
assigned letters beginning with the letter "
D", unless oth-
erwise specified.
