This section provides hardware and software installation/
hookup instructions for iNFiNiT! Family systems. Differences
in installation/hookup procedures are described as they are
encountered.
NOTE
The iNFiNiT! Family system is delivered
with the software already installed.
If it is
necessary to re-install software or install
new software, refer to §2.14 for
information.

The Installation Overview begins with physical installation, and
continues through keyboard configuration and installation,
video connections, video alignment, and General Purpose Inter-
face (GPI) installation.
Systems are shipped in up to three cartons: one contains the
main chassis, one contains the keyboard console, and the third
contains documentation, software, and the power and keyboard
cables. All boxes should be marked with the configuration you
ordered (for example, NTSC).
Unpack the system, saving the containers in the event the unit
ever has to be shipped again. Check to see that everything on
the packing list is there; if any components or accessories are
missing or damaged, contact CHYRON Customer Service
immediately

Both the main chassis and keyboard must be properly installed to
prevent damage by physical or electrostatic shock.
The physical differences between systems in the iNFiNiT! Fam-
ily are described as they are encountered.
iNFiNiT! Family chassis are designed for standard

rack mounting. Use at least #12 hardware for attaching the
chassis to the rack brackets, since it must be secured firmly.
