Message Compose Basics 6-26 Revision D
NOTE
Message Compose Versions 3.0 or
higher allocates RAM from the font
memory to load system features such
as Multiple Effects. As a result, the
font load cannot occupy as much
memory as before. It is important to
be aware of this if you use different
systems loaded with different
versions of software. A font load that
fits in one system’s memory may not
fit in another system’s memory.
Each font listing gives you name, size, and edge informa-
tion, and also the amount of RAM the font is occupying,
in both bytes and in percent of total font memory.
To select a font, use one of the following methods:
• Cursor to the font in the list.
• Press the Font Key into which the font is loaded. The
cursor then highlights that font in the list.
To display a sample character in a font in the list:
• Highlight the font using one of the above procedures,
then select the
Display icon or press D.
The sample character displayed is an upper case "
A".
If this character doesn't exist in the font, the character
with the next ID (for example, upper case "
B") is
shown.
• The sample character is always displayed in the
upper left corner of the Edit Monitor. The current
display on the monitor, if overwritten by the sample,
is undisturbed, and can be recalled by pressing the
BUILD key (the blank key between the HOME and
COLOR FONT keys).
